Since graduating with an MSc in Geology from Bristol University, Katharine has gained over 10 years’ professional experience in geotechnical engineering and engineering geology whilst working for engineering consultancies across the UK and in New Zealand.
Katharine has significant experience in all aspects of geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigation from technical due diligence and contamination assessments for all manner of sites and situations, to preparing competitive tenders and providing comprehensive interpretive design and reports.
Katharine’s career to date shows just how knowledgeable and how adaptable she is. Projects Katharine has been involved with include former colliery sites, rail infrastructure for Crossrail, London Underground and Network Rail, earthquake affected buildings, seafront erosion and deformation, basement impact assessments, residential and commercial developments, landfill remediation and marine infrastructure.
Katharine is committed to continuing her own personal development and ensuring she is always up-to-date with the latest best practice and technical methodology. She has been a fellow of The Geological Society of London for most of her career and is now actively working towards gaining chartered status.
