Senior Structural BIM / Revit Technician

Do you want to work for a growing, award-winning company that values people and their professional development?  We currently have a vacancy for a Structural BIM/Revit Technician to join our expanding team based in the Bristol office in the heart of the vibrant harbour side area.

The position would suit an individual with multi-disciplinary exposure working on both small projects and large scale landmark projects across varying sectors of building structures.

You will have demonstrable experience within all sectors of building structures, and a background in delivery using BIM / CAD Engineering.  An HNC / HND in Civil or Structural Engineering and membership of IEng is preferred but not essential.  You must be highly proficient within AutoCAD and RC detailing and capable of detailing in concrete, steel, timber and masonry. 

You will use your skills in producing accurate technical engineering drawings in a variety of materials.  You must be able to draw on experience in order to anticipate areas that need further information or development in order to develop appropriately illustrated details.  As a member of a growing team you should also enjoy the opportunity to mentor and develop more junior members of the team.  You will also communicate directly with engineers, architects, the wider design team and contractors.

You should have thorough working knowledge of most, if not all, of the below

  • PAS 1192-2,4,5 & 6 BS1192:2007

  • BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and BIM standards creation

  • EIR and cross check of BEP’s

  • Understanding of Levels of Information and Levels of Detail in respect to BIM

  • Process, workflow and procedural document creation

  • Model authoring and project deliverables

  • Parametric family creation

  • Management of templates and Revit Families

  • BIM coordination and validation

  • Knowledge of exporting/ importing from Design software

  • Real-time visualisations, animations and digital realities
