Trainee Structural Revit Technician – Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience
Clarkebond are looking for an enthusiastic trainee to join their team in the Bristol office, located in the centre of the historic harbourside. This role would suit somebody looking for a career in construction and engineering and who has an ambition to progress to higher education.
You will be primarily engaged in CAD, REVIT and supporting the production of plans, designs and documentation for our associated projects across the south west. Initially this will include printing copies of drawings, correspondence and other documents, undertaking necessary filing, archiving and using your IT skills to assist with compiling reports.
You will attend college on a day release basis to study for a suitable level qualification, as well as benefit from the coaching and guidance of our experienced Chartered Engineers and technicians. We encourage progression onto higher education up to and including degree level.
You may also attend site on occasion to view or inspect demolition works and construction in order to gain an understanding of the construction process and ideally see the projects you have been working on coming to life; and where appropriate attend meetings under the supervision of Project Engineers or Senior Technicians.

Our ideal trainee will have:
Good numeracy (GCSE Maths grade C or level 4 or equivalent)
GCSE grade C or level 4 English and a Science/ Design and Technology subject
A passion for mathematics and IT
A good eye for detail
A strong desire to undertake personal development and to develop a career in construction and engineering
A willingness to work outside on site, including ascending scaffold etc from time to time in order to gain further understanding of building construction.
Ability to work well in a team
We would be particularly interested to hear from you if you have completed or are currently studying towards a career in construction / consultancy and are looking to progress to the next level of qualification. This could be progression from a relevant college or University course (such as level 3 Construction and the Built Environment, City and Guilds level 2 or 3 in Computer Aided Design or a Foundation degree).
