Structures and cladding specialist returns to Clarkebond!

Clarkebond is delighted to welcome back Philip Esper to its London office. Philip has been working in the Middle East for a number of years and has returned to take up the position of Director of Special Structures and Cladding.

Philip will be working with a team of engineers who are looking forward to benefiting from his 30 years’ experience of working with eminent engineering, construction and project management companies.

Philip has provided high level advice on the design, value engineering and cost optimization of high profile projects such as the Shard, Leadenhall Building, Jeddah Kingdom Tower, and Abu Dhabi Airport. He has over 50 publications in a wide range of engineering fields including offshore platforms, tall buildings, soil-structure interaction, blast and seismic engineering, and disaster management.

Philip has a PhD in soil-structure interaction, and was awarded an honorary Fellowship of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2008, and the Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) in 2004, and is a member of the RICS Presidential Commission on Disaster Management and International Building Quality Group.
