Framework wins for Clarkebond
Clarkebond has recently won places to provide engineering consultancy services on two national frameworks for housing and healthcare.
The first is a 4-year framework to provide civil and structural engineering services throughout the South West, parts of Midlands and London/South for the Sanctuary Group. Sanctuary, one of the largest social housing landlords in the country, has an ambition to build 30,000 new homes by 2026. In addition to construction of housing and associated buildings, the framework includes: refurbishment/retrofit of existing houses, refurbishment, restoration, conversion of heritage or other buildings for residential led use, demolition, site remediation and enabling works to prepare sites for development, construction of infrastructure to support residential and mixed-use development.
The second, also a 4-year framework, for NHS SBS (Shared Business Services) to provide civil and structural engineering, ground engineering and other pre-planning and construction management services. The pre-qualification process required a 60% pass rate which Clarkebond more than comfortably met, scoring an average of over 90%.
NHS SBS estimate that around £1 Billion of work will be procured through the framework which will also be used by other public sector organisations including local authorities, schools, academies, universities, blue light services, prison services and museums.
Dave Rylatt, Clarkebond’s Bid Manager, announcing the wins, noted “Qualifying for frameworks is always a demanding process, but as well as the potential work won, this also reassures all our clients that we have robust procedures and practices that withstand the closest scrutiny.”
