Clarkebond welcomes new BIM Manager
Clarkebond is delighted to welcome Andy Dyer as its new BIM (Building Information Modelling) Manager. Andy will be responsible for the management of the BIM process and procedures and for coordinating BIM activities in the civil and structures teams across all Clarkebond offices.
'Having quickly recognised the significant benefits that BIM could bring, Clarkebond were early pioneers of its use and we are delighted to bring Andy on board to ensure that we continue to lead the way in the use and development of BIM,’ comments Martin Hathaway, Clarkebond Director.
Andy’s responsibilities will include reviewing BIM requirements and implementation on projects, overseeing and enforcing BIM standards, creating and managing templates and object libraries, producing models, drawings and details for the successful completion of projects.
Andy brings over 20 years’ experience in civil engineering, during which time he has worked extensively with CAD and BIM modelling packages, including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD. Andy is keen to share his knowledge and will now be using this significant experience to ensure that colleagues are fully trained in BIM and other software use.
