Award recognition for first year engineering apprentice
A first year Clarkebond apprentice has been awarded a prestigious Quest Technician Scholarship from the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
Jack Holsman’s rapid progress in his first year in Clarkebond’s Exeter office, whilst also studying at Exeter College, has been recognised by Clarkebond, and now also by the ICE. The £1500 scholarship is awarded to those who achieve and strive for the highest standards, and is to provide financial support in further or higher education while they obtain technical and practical engineering experience with employers.
Neil Marks, Director of Clarkebond’s Exeter office, said “Jack has exceeded our expectations with his progress to date and I am very pleased that his hard work over the past year has been recognised. He is a prime example of the young people that we wish to encourage into our industry and who will become our technicians and engineers of the future”.
