Clarkebond Achieves Cyber Certification
With cyber threats becoming more complex, moving from basic attacks against one device to complicated attacks against every device on an organisations network, poor cyber security is now a significant business risk. A risk not only to the business suffering the attack but also potentially to its clients’ businesses too.
Clarkebond has taken steps to mitigate these risks to its organisation and to its clients’ business by undergoing an independent robust assessment and certification process to qualify for the Cyber Essentials Plus standard.
“We are delighted to achieve the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation and demonstrates Clarkebond’s ongoing commitment to Cyber Security. In addition to providing reassurance to our existing clients that their data and communications will be safe with us, certification also means that Clarkebond can further develop its bidding activity for central government contracts which involve handling sensitive and personal information or the provision of certain technical products and services,” stated Neil Marks, Commercial Director, Clarkebond.
Launched by the UK Government in June 2014, Cyber Essentials is an effective scheme that helps protect an organisation, whatever its size, against a whole range of the most common cyber-attacks. This is important because vulnerability to simple attacks can make an organisation a target for more in-depth unwanted attention from cyber criminals and others. Estimated annual losses from cybercrime now top £291bn, according to the Centre for Strategic and International Studies.
